How much funding can I get?

The amount of funding you receive is broken down into 8 classifications which you are assigned to based on your level of care.

Funding classifications

Support at Home Funding aligned
with your care needs

Under Support at Home, government funding is allocated based on eight classifications, each reflecting a different level of support needs. Your classification is determined through an individualised assessment and helps determine how much funding is available to support you.

While your services are tailored to your personal goals and preferences, your funding level is guided by the classification you’ve been assessed under.

Classification levelType of careAllocated funding
Classification 1Basic Support $10,731.00 per year
Classification 2Low Care Needs$16,034 per year
Classification 3Moderate Care Needs$21,966 per year

Additional funding pathways

In addition to your core classification budget, you may be eligible for extra funding to support more specific needs:

  • Restorative Care Pathway

Short-term, goal-oriented care designed to help you regain function and independence after an injury, illness, or hospital stay.

  • End-of-Life Pathway

Provides compassionate support for individuals with life-limiting conditions, helping manage care needs and comfort at home during end-of-life.

  • Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) Scheme

Offers funding for equipment, devices, or home modifications that improve safety, accessibility, and independence in your home.
