How it works
Understand the steps, fees, and support available to access Support at Home funding.
If you cant find what you’re after please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Unspent funds are the left over money that you haven’t spent on goods, services or fees.
Unspent funds accumulate when you haven’t utilised your full funding allowance. These funds are then available to be used on services, goods and fees.
You can carry over unspent funds from each quarter up to a limit of $1,000 or 10% of your quarterly budget (whichever is greater).
You can use your unspent funds on the services you receive through your Support at Home funding.
Before accessing additional funding schemes, such as the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) Scheme, you must first use any unspent funds.
If you’re moving from a Home Care Package to Support at Home, any leftover funds will carry over to your Support at Home budget. There is no maximum cap on the amount of unspent funds you can carry over from your Home Care Package.
You can apply these carried-over funds toward approved purchases like assistive technology or home modifications, or use them to supplement your quarterly Support at Home budget after it’s been fully spent.
You can talk to your Care Partner to find out if you have unspent funds available to use and what the best course of action would be to use them.
We’re here to assist you with any inquiries and provide personalised support for your needs.
