CHSP funding
The CHSP and its effect on your service options
With CHSP funding, customers have more limited choice of who can provide their services as they need to select a specific CHSP provider and there are only a limited number of CHSP providers in each region.
There may be less services available when funded through CHSP as it is designed to be more basic care for customers with lower-level support needs.
Customers who receive their funding through CHSP will be asked for a co contribution payment towards their services, this may vary depending on your required needs, and can be explained further by your care manager.
The CHSP is generally used by people who need just a little bit of extra support, typically one or two services on a short-term or ongoing basis.
