Home Care funding
Your level of need
You may have noticed a change in your ability to do everyday tasks or you may have had a recent hospital admission and need some help around the house.Your age
You’ll need to be 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people).Your living environment
You must still be living at home to be eligible for Home Care.Check your eligibility
The best way to find out if you’re eligible to access funded Home Care services is to use the My Aged Care eligibility check tool.
Income tested fees
Understanding the fees
One additional consideration when determining if Home Care is right for you is understanding the fees that you may be asked to pay.
The Income Tested Fee is calculated based on your level of income and may impact your decision to apply for funding.
Once you confirm that you’re eligible and that you’re comfortable with the fees, you’ll need to have an assessment to work out what funding you’ll receive.
