If you prefer, you can choose to pay privately for your care services through HCA Home Care. This means you cover the full cost of your care directly, without relying on government subsidies or undergoing an income assessment.
Some people choose this option because:
- Contribution fees are too high: In some cases, the government-assessed contribution may be higher than the cost of services. Paying privately can sometimes be more cost-effective.
- Waiting for government funding: There can be delays in receiving government funding for programs like Support at Home. To start care immediately, paying privately allows you to access services whilst you wait for your funding to arrive.
