Quality and Safety

Feeling safe, respected and confident in your care matters.
At HCA Home Care, quality and safety are built into the way we support you. From the people providing your care to the systems behind the scenes, we work to make sure your support is reliable, respectful and centred around your needs.

Your Care, Your Rights

You have the right to receive care that is safe, respectful and delivered in a way that reflects your choices, preferences and individual needs.

As a registered aged care provider, HCA Home Care works in line with the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and the requirements of the Aged Care Act.

For you, that means being involved in decisions about your care, being treated with dignity and respect, and having support that is regularly reviewed as your needs change.

How We Keep Your Care Safe

Quality care is about more than having the right policies. It’s about making sure the people, processes and support around you work together.

Experienced Care Teams

Our personal care Support Workers hold a Certificate III qualification and have at least six months’ experience before providing personal care.

Ongoing Training

Healthcare Australia has its own training organisation, helping us regularly train and upskill our workforce as care needs and industry requirements change.

Clinical Support

Our nursing team can provide clinical guidance and oversight where needed, helping support customers with more complex care requirements.

Care That Stays Connected

Our teams have access to the information they need to understand your care, helping support consistency and reduce the need for you to continually repeat yourself.

Regular Care Reviews

Your Customer Care Manager stays connected with you and can review your care when your needs, preferences or circumstances change.

Your Voice Matters

If something doesn’t feel right, we want to know.

You can raise questions, concerns or feedback with your Customer Care Manager or another member of the HCA Home Care team. We’ll listen, take your concerns seriously and work with you to understand what needs to happen next.

You also have the right to raise concerns independently through the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

Feel Confident in Your Care

Choosing a home care provider means trusting the people who support you and the team behind them.

Talk to HCA Home Care about your needs, the care you’re looking for and how we work to provide safe, reliable and personalised support at home.
